Highway Driving Assistance

The available, upgraded Highway Driving Assist combines the Smart Cruise Control system’s sensors and cameras with navigation and traffic data to assist drivers with steering, acceleration, deceleration, and keeping flow with traffic.4 

Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control

Available Navigation-Based Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go can help maintain a safe distance from the vehicle ahead and bring you to a stop in traffic. Navigation-based information can also adapt to changing speed limits and upcoming curves.5

Safe Exit Assist

Before your passengers exit, standard Safe Exit Assist can scan for oncoming hazards, sounding an alert and even stopping the sliding doors to help avoid danger.6 

Rear Occupant Alert with Ultrasonic Sensors

This standard feature can sound an alert if the rear seat is occupied when exiting the vehicle, or send a notification to your compatible device if the vehicle senses movement inside while you’re away.7 

Forward Collision

Standard Forward Collision Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian Detection uses sensors and cameras to scan the road ahead for hazards, alerting the driver and even applying the brakes to help prevent a collision. Available Forward Collision Avoidance Assist w/ Junction Turning Assist and Cyclist Detection can help when turning through an intersection or sharing the road with cyclists.8 

Blind Spot Assistance

If there’s another vehicle in your blind spot, standard Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist-Rear will alert you to it, and may help avoid a collision by actively moving your vehicle away from the adjacent vehicle. It can also provide helpful alerts while exiting a parallel parking spot.9 

Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance

If a collision is imminent while you’re reversing out of your parking spot, standard Rear Cross-Traffic Collision-Avoidance can alert the driver or hit the brakes to help intervene. Front and rear parking sensors also alert when approaching obstacles.10 

Parking Collision Avoidance

Standard Parking Collision-Avoidance Assist, Reverse (PCA-R) uses the rear view camera and ultrasonic sensors to recognize nearby obstacles. If a collision is anticipated, the system triggers warnings and can engage the brakes to prevent collision.11
